Sooo this is my very first real shot at digital painting. Quite a few hours put into this over the past couple of weeks, although I don't feel like I am finished.

So critique it, gimme your worst please.

Really wish I had a wacom, mouse sucks.

I think it looks marvelous. Though, I wounder how it would have appeared should you have done it by hand. Although your art looks great, you can't escape the digital signatures. Perhaps what you find missing is the detail that only hand's on work can provide. Just an opinion. Other than that, no need for any changes. By the way, I have a wacom Bamboo and wow, does that take some getting used to. Right now, I think I still prefer a good laser mouse. Have to play with it some more. Good work. Keep it up.

Stalker!! STALKER!!! Just kidding. I know what you mean about the digital signatures. I do enjoy ';painting' in this way, as I am not a traditional painter. I loathe painting with any medium, it does not yeild the results like pencil crayons do for me. However, with digital painting, I can change, erase, and move anything I want on the canvass. I think for this piece, and any others I may complete, I'm going to have to get away from the whole shadow=black thing, and use a wider range of colors.

But I suppose the head could use a bit of working on

Either way, your art is very appealing. I will, like I said, try to use the wacom and get some practice into it one day. For now, I am just concentrating on my next books, but I will be posting a few additions here and there. Nice talking to you.

I've been working on that head for so long I want to re-do it. My boyfriend says it looks like an aliens head lol Thanks for commenting and faving!
